In this tutorial, I show you how to fix your Skyrim game from crashing using a simple tool as well as a Skyrim Nexus mod SKSE. In this Skyrim Fix tutorial guide on how to fix Skyrim from Crashing by thebluecrusader (the blue crusader), I show you how to fix Skyrim crashes when gaming in this guide by optimizing your load order with this simple fix. If you're modding the game and running multiple mods, then these will help you with your crash problem also. The CTD problem in Skyrim is huge, you could crash from too many mods by exceeding the mod limit, during a boss battle and much more, but the primary reason is from Skyrim Mods in this video game. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is one of the best PC Games in my opinion and if you start to have problems with the game stability, perhaps from using too much memory or VRAM or problems related to ENB / ENBoost, then I hope this will work for you. The first fix (LOOT) should also support Skyrim Special Edition which is different to Skyrim Legendary Edition and normal Skyrim. For some reason Bethesda released some very small weird and minor updates without a clear changelog. I have no idea why they are doing this, except for them just being jerks and annoying modders on purpose to break modlists. The problem however now is that current players have compatibility issues since the latest version of SKSE doesn't play really nice with the mods from my Wabbajack list. For that I would like to point out that it is important to follow the above step to prevent Steam auto updating the game. So NEVER launch Skyrim AE/SE directly via Steam, and always use the MO2 SKSE shortcut like explained above ! Anyway, there is now this issue for new modders, and existing modders who failed to to the above, that their game doesn't work or has CTD's. (or no startup at all) So now what? Well, you just have to get the same version of Skyrim AE and SKSE which works still fine for me. My current Skyrim AE is: 1.6.353.0 My current SKSE version is: SKSE 64 v2.1.5 beta ENB versions should not matter. In doubt? then temporarily delete the ENB files just for troubleshooting. Step 1: Downgrade your Skyrim AE/SE to 1.6.353.0 with help of the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Downgrade Patcher. Open the mod page, and go to files. Select the correct file to downgrade to 1.6.353.0. If you want to know your current Skyrim SE/AE version, open up the Skyrim AE/SE main game folder from your Steam libary, rightclick SkyrimSE.exe, - properties details Step 2: Install SKSE 64 v2.1.5 beta Yeah, here comes a bit of the tricky part. This file is not officially hosted anymore on the SKSE site, and only the latest SKSE version is hosted. This means I had to reupload this file somewhere else, which is currently at this mirror link above. If i get a warning that I am not allowed to host older SKSE files, then the fun is over and you need to contact me on Discord to get the file. For the rest all files should in theory work (again) now, make sure to disable automatic Steam Game update like mentioned above!!!! - Nexus page: 🤍 This is a modlist which is based on 11 years of mostly graphics modding, and finding the collection of mods to get the most realistic feel and graphics. What is unique is that I always created not only a written tutorial version, but also supported everything by video tutorial explanations. This time however for the first time in all these years after so many requests, I can say we finally have a Wabbajack auto installer and the guide is mostly focused on it ! :) Wabbajack auto-installer? What is that? Wabbajack is a tool that lets you install automated pre generated big mod lists. Normally before Wabbajack the manual installs always took a huge amount of time since people had to download every individual mod, and I had to explain how to do the full guide install mod by mod. This Wabbajack list is an auto installer for more or less 98% of the entire modlist we are going to use, so this means the install/modding effort has been drastically reduced compared with the previous tutorials! After the Wabbajack only a few manual steps have to be done which can be done in 5-10 mins. CLICK ON [SHOW MORE] FOR LINKS and info The goal of this video is to reduce Skyrim Crashes (CTDs) via tools and tweaks that optimize memory management. THE MOST COMMON PROBLEM PEOPLE ENCOUNTER: They overwrite the D3D9.DLL from ENB with the ICBINENB file THEN change the name, that will cause the program to crash. It's user error. You need to change the name INSIDE the zip, THEN extract the changed name. If the program you are using is unable to change the name inside the zip, then extract it somewhere else, change the name, THEN copy it in. Skyrim Memory Editor ► 🤍 If you (1) Use the newer version of SKSE (2) It is properly up to date (3) You've properly modified your INI file to include a memory update then this patch will do NOTHING, but will NOT conflict with it. It's simply the easiest way to make sure everyone gets the fix. The less ini editing people have to do, the better. A lot of information is circulating that SSME is "outdated", this is due to a SKSE tweak mentioned above. Using the word outdated creates the mental illusion that SSME is in some way ineffective, that notion is in fact wrong any assertions to that are outright misinformation. Both will work to keep your Skyrim stable and there is nothing stopping someone whom wants to perform the INI tweak to do so, the functionality is now fully a part of SKSE, however just having SKSE does not instantly turn the tweak on. I recommend checking out the S.T.E.P. Project for more information on that, if you are so inclined. Stability wise however, SSME is solid, with or without SKSE as mentioned above though, SKSE will win between the two if both tweaks are done. So, if both achieve the same thing, why would I recommend SSME and not the SKSE tweak? Simple. No, really, "SIMPLE" is why, install it and you are done. No tweaking, no fuss, unpack SSME into your Skyrim folder and FORGET ABOUT IT! It's done! People will cite problems SSME has with other mods, but the reality is that anything that causes SSME an issue will do the same to SKSE, that is because they are doing the exact same thing. Certain ENB Presets may cause problems with either SSME or SKSE's tweak as well, if they do, go into the enb's ini and set the memory64 hack to false. Any modified DLL files for Skyrim such as cracks, or "community patches", or memory expanders will most likely conflict with either SSME or SKSE's tweak in unpredictable ways. ENB For Skyrim ► 🤍 EVEN IF YOU DON'T WANT TO USE AN ENB, YOU NEED THIS. This will optimize your video ram for Skyrim, please follow the instructions in the video. If you DO NOT intend on installing any ENB Preset or I Can't Believe it's not ENB, then go ahead and set UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics=true I Can't Believe it's not ENB 3 ► 🤍 This extra step is for people who want Skyrim to look pretty at next to no cost to performance. Follow the instructions in the video and make sure to set UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics=false as well as the proxy settings explained in the video.
